Winemaking has been a family tradition in Rutherglen since the 1850s, and fourth, fifth and sixth generation winemakers are now producing outstanding and award winning wines. Crisp whites, rich reds and world famous fortifieds are produced with a unique regional character.
These examples showcase the diversity of one of our oldest wine regions, but there are many others too. Try examples of Rhone-inspired wines from the Jones' Marsanne, Valhalla's GSM and Rutherglen Estates' Shiraz Viognier to a Frontignac from Stanton & Killeen, a Durif that Rutherglen prides itself on from Campbells and a must-have from the region, the Pfeiffer's Rutherglen Muscat.
